South Wellington Lions Club brought to fruition a place where generations can meet to help build community.
These Literacy Activity Meeting Places are meant to be places for communities like Ennotville to come together and learn, plan, teach and communicate with each other. They are meant to work as pillars of literacy in any community.
The project was made possible by the hard work of the Lions Club members and many local sponsors. We would like to thank HFH Inc., Siderman, The Ennotville Garage, Dakota Truck Service, Albert Rogers Sawmill, Total Rescue, and Rona Elora.
Only with their support and a grant from Lions International did inaugural project become a reality.
Our organization looks forward to putting these LAMP projects in multiple Wellington County communities as the need arises.
We are happy to be able to bring our LAMP project to the Ennotville Library, my hope and belief is that this will become a place where the community will meet and enjoy eachothers company.
The goals of these Literacy Activity Meeting Places is to promote not only reading withing our community but community building as a whole.
